The CamGlen Covid Support Group consists of all local politicians and community organisations and in the area including Healthy n Happy Community Development Trust. The group is providing a range of support including help with shopping, a friendly telephone call, advice/information and food parcels for local individuals and families who are struggling. Those interested in volunteering should complete the online registration form on the group's website.
Coordinated by Healthy Valleys and in partnership with a range of organisations, Clydesdale Community COVID Response Team is providing support to vulnerable individuals, families and older people throughout Clydesdale. Support includes delivery of pre-prepared meals, providing 'Listening Ear' calls, counselling/ CBT via telephone and delivery of family well-being packs (activity packs/sanitary products etc.). Those in need should contact the relevant contact for their area as listed below.

Clydesdale Community Initiatives – are delivering food parcels within the community. To access this support please contact the SLC helpline – 0300 100 6100. Service available in Clydesdale
Providing support with free shopping and prescription/medicine collection for anyone who is self-isolating, vulnerable or has transport restrictions residing in Abington, Coulter, Crawfordjohn, Roberton, Wandel and Wiston. Shopping must be pre-paid orders from Abington Store, The Orchard, Ovens Butchers or Brownlees - no money will exchange hands. Those requiring support should call 07498 498925 between 10-3pm (open 7 days a week).
East Kilbride Food Bank – continues top operate its drop in services for collection of food bank parcels. These are:-
Healthy n Happy are working in partnership with Camglen Covid 19 response team. They are helping to co-ordinate the delivery of food parcels and other supports such as mail and postal services and urgent medicine collections. Healthy Valleys are working in partnership with Clydesdale Covid 19 response team. They are helping to deliver emergency food parcels and pre-cooked meals. They can also provide a shopping and prescription delivery service to people who cannot do this themselves and have no supporting family members. They also offer wellbeing telephone calls to those who are feeling isolated and can signpost to online activities. Help can be accessed by contacting the SLC helpline number – 0300 100 6100. Scotlands Homeless Project support the homeless and those in need throughout Lanarkshire and Glasgow through distributing hot food, drinks and emergency provisions. During the COVID-19 crisis the organisation is distributing food provisions to foodbanks and has access to a van for collection and delivery. Collections can also be made for other third sector organisations.
Share Alike – a food bank service being operated by SAVI Kids. Food parcels are delivered to the doorstep every Tuesday and Friday. The service can be accessed via the SLC helpline on 0300 100 6100. Service available in East Kilbride
