About VASLan Third Sector Awards

We are excited to announce that nominations are now open for the 2025 Third Sector Awards. Every year, we throw this celebration to showcase the outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations in South Lanarkshire. We want to recognise the tireless efforts and transformative change that the third sector has on our communities. Click here to nominate.

 

Nominations will close on Monday 4 August with winners announced at our AGM in September. 

 

2025 Award Categories

 

Nature Connection 

This award celebrates achievements of groups who have taken climate action, worked to improve their local environment or helped their members and clients connect to nature. 

Enterprise and Sustainability

This category will shine a light on organisations utilising enterprise and/or sustainability to the full to sustain services and/or achieve the organisation's social purpose. 

Partnership and Collaboration

This award recognises organisations that have promoted and engaged in effective partnership working or collaborative projects, in order to better deliver outcomes for South Lanarkshire's communities. 

Volunteer of the Year

This award will be presented to an extraordinary individual whose outstanding commitment to volunteering has changed lives and/or communities, inspired others and made them worthy of special recognition. If you know of such an individual, then you should nominate them for this award. 

Young Person of the Year

This category is specifically to celebrate the achievements of young people (up to the age of 25) whether that is in their role as a volunteer or in another format where they have made a positive difference within their community. You can nominate either an individual or a group of young people for this award. 

Volunteer-led Organisation

This award is in recognition of grassroots organisations ran entirely by volunteers that have made a difference to their local community. 

Tackling Health Inequalities

This award recognises groups and organisations who are promoting positive physical and mental health activities within communities to reduce health inequalities.
