Older and Active East Kilbride

Older and Active East Kilbride have been helping the vulnerable community in anyway that they can. They have been delivering prescriptions and running a telephone befriending service which is providing a lifeline for those who are using the services! 

One lady was feeling particularly anxious about the current situation whilst self-isolating due to health reasons. Her son and daughter have been able to deliver her shopping and her pharmacy have been able to deliver her prescriptions.

The staff at Older and Active knew her concerns and arranged for staff to contact her to see how she was feeling.She was really excited about the telephone befriending service and is so sppreciative of her call twice a week. She was delighted when staff were able to help her get supplies for her parrot!
