Larkhall Covid 19 Community Network

The community of Larkhall have set up the Facebook group Larkhall Rainbows along with other partners to help support their community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and the things that they have achieved in such a short space is time is truly incredible!

The owner of L.T.O.A. Taxis Phillip has been an incredible asset to the community by collecting and delivering prescriptions to those who are shielding and isolating, there are now 25 committed drivers who deliver food packs to the local community and street to street volunteers who are delivering leaflets and colouring in for the exciting ‘Thumbs Up for the Postman’ campaign and COVID-19 Time Capsule!

The group have been running competitions and promoting activities for the everyone by sharing on the Larkhall Rainbows page and keeping people up to date with the correct information from the Government and South Lanarkshire. Original India and Leo’s Grill have got on board by making meals for NHS and front-line workers and the volunteer drivers are delivering these each night!

Liz from Community Links cannot thank the hard work and dedication of all the volunteers and Partners enough, there has been an incredible buzz of community spirit in Larkhall which is helping those who are most vulnerable!
