Chase the Rainbow

Chase the Rainbow Blantyre is run by a dedicated team of 6 people and all started from the children of Blantyre drawing rainbows and putting them in their windows!

The Facebook group was set up at the start of lockdown and now runs competitions such as scavenger hunts, draw your street and lots of other exciting activities to keep children entertained whilst at home.

Each month the group runs a ‘monthly mission’ last months mission involved the children nominating key workers who live in Blantyre and they were delivered flowers! This month the children are nominating their teachers, for all their hard work teaching from home!

Parents can also nominate children on their birthday to receive a present and a post to the Facebook group, which has certainly brought a smile to many children’s faces!

Chase the Rainbow has made an impact to the community and this has been helped by the support of local business who have gone above and beyond to help out where they can!

As we slowly leave lockdown to Chase the Rainbow would like to say a massive thank you to all the volunteers who have been outstanding despite home-schooling, working and dealing with restrictions.
