SQA Digital Learning Guides

SQA has developed a suite of Digital Learning Guides – available here https://www.sqaacademy.org.uk//course/view.php?id=651

The guides help people who don’t have the digital skills and confidence to carry out every day online activities. The guides are free to use. There is no log-in or registration required. Learners simply click on the guide of choice and work through it following the step-by-step visual and audio instructions.

Changes to the Welfare Reform: Event

You are invited to attend an event on the changes that the Welfare Reform will bring in relation to Universal Credit Full Service.  The event will take place on Tuesday 15th August at 9am in Whitehill Neighbourhood Centre.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new EU law that will come into effect on the 25th May 2018 to replace the current Data Protection Act.

It is the biggest overhaul of data protection legislation for over 25 years, and will introduce new requirements for organisations on how they process personal data, and has greater emphasis on organisations accountability of data.

The work of South Lanarkshire Council is guided by the Council Plan, Connect, which sets out their Vision, Values, Ambitions and Objectives.  The current version of Connect came to an end in March 2017 and they are now preparing a new plan for the period 2017 to 2022 and are keen to hear your views on how they can make the Council Plan better.
